Spotlight: Oracle to Include ‘Push’ Technology in Software
Oracle Corp. said it will include “push” technology in its database software next year, allowing customers to use Oracle software to broadcast information on corporate networks and the Internet. Redwood Shores-based Oracle said it licensed technology from Tibco Software Inc. of Palo Alto that will allow users to regularly receive updated information as messages. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Oracle shares fell 34 cents to close at $37.16 on Nasdaq.
