What Are You Drinking

The best bottle of wine I had recently was made by my guru, Andre Ramonet. My son just moved into a new house, and when he was giving me a tour, he opened an ’86 Montrachet for a toast. My son had walked the vineyards with him last year, and he called and said, ‘Do you know he drinks a glass of Champagne every hour?’ There’s no question he communicates with the vines and that, of course, is why they give more to him than to others.
