“Investment Raises Questions About State Pension Fund” (Sept. 16) brings to light many aspects relative to the California Public Employees’ Retirement System, its investments, its interactions with possible investment scenarios, etc.

There are 13 board members of CalPERS. I think it would be interesting in a future article to explain just who are these board members, and what are their credentials relative to investing the $120 billion of assets for the pension system.

Your article makes me realize how little I know about this powerful pension system and its ability to influence people and markets. I feel like I’m in the dark about a powerful force in California.
