Although Saturday marks the finale of Mission San Juan Capistrano’s Music Under the Stars program, the series will continue to have an impact on the historic site.

Organizers say as much as $60,000 has been raised this summer since the series of nine outdoor concerts began in June. The funds will be used to help preserve the mission.

The mission initiated the program in 1989 to focus on the preservation of the Great Stone Church.
