Alliance Imaging Has Loss of $11.9 Million for Quarter

Alliance Imaging Inc., which provides imaging systems to hospitals and other health care providers, said it lost $11.9 million, or $1.20 a share, for the fourth quarter, which included recapitalization costs of $16.4 million. That contrasts with a profit of $7.8 million, or 80 cents a share, for the 1996 fourth quarter.

Revenue increased 25% to a record $24.2 million from $19.4 million. For the year, the company posted a net loss of $3.8 million, contrasted with a net income of $12.8 million for 1996. Revenue gained 26% to $86.5 million from $68.5 million.
