Emergency Readiness Expo Set for May 9
Ever wondered what to do when the ground starts to shake or where to go when a brush fire is bearing down on your home?
You’ll soon get the chance to find out.
Simi Valley’s Neighborhood Councils will host the third annual Emergency Preparedness Expo beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9, in the parking lot of Farmer’s Insurance Co., 3041 Cochran Ave.
In addition to providing valuable information on what to do in the event of an earthquake and how to best protect properties during fire season, participants will have an opportunity to watch emergency personnel perform swift-water rescues and extinguish a fire.
Exhibitors also will be on hand to showcase the latest in earthquake preparedness kits and other services.
