No. 9 Fullerton 4, Buena Park 3--Fullerton pitcher Jeff Cody struck out eight and earned his fourth victory of the year. The host Indians scored all of their runs, all unearned, in the second inning, without a hit.
La Habra 3, Sonora 2--Jesse Delgado’s two-out double in the fifth inning scored Al Estrada with the winning run for visiting La Habra (4-5, 2-1).
Sunny Hills 6, Troy 3--George Seargent had two hits and three RBIs for the Lancers (5-5, 1-2), who gave Coach Doug Elliott his 200th victory at Sunny Hills. Elliott is in his 14th season at Sunny Hills.
In the Garden Grove League: Rancho Alamitos 7, Bolsa Grande 6--Tony Serna scored on a suicide squeeze in the bottom of the seventh inning to win the game for Rancho Alamitos.
Rancho Alamitos (6-5, 2-1) scored the tying run earlier in the inning when Anthony Huizar drew a bases-loaded walk.
In the Orange League:
Brea Olinda 14, Anaheim 2--Greg Stoddard went four for five with three RBIs and Mike Ausman hit an inside-the-park home run for Brea Olinda (7-3-1, 3-0-1).
In the Sea View League:
El Toro 7, Corona del Mar 4--Senior catcher Blair Lucas had three hits, three runs scored and three stolen bases for visiting El Toro (8-3, 3-1).
Irvine 16, Newport Harbor 5 (6, mercy)--Greg Zachan had a grand slam and drove in seven runs for Irvine (4-7, 3-1).
In the Sunset League:
Esperanza 3, Marina 2--Nick Pouci pitched six innings for visiting Esperanza (5-4-1, 2-1-1), holding Marina to two runs.
Los Alamitos 3, Edison 2--Greg Schwenn (1-1) pitched five innings and struck out seven to earn the victory for Los Alamitos (6-3-1, 2-1-1).
