Pacifica’s Freed Continues String of No-Hitters

Amanda Freed pitched her third consecutive no-hitter, striking out 13 of 15 Rancho Alamitos batters as third-ranked Pacifica won, 10-0, in a Garden Grove League softball game called after five innings before of the mercy rule.

Freed, a senior who was The Times Orange County player of the year last season, had no-hitters against La Quinta and Kennedy last week.

On offense, Tiffany Wallace and Toria Auelua each had two hits and three RBIs and Diana Verreras had three RBIs for Pacifica (9-1, 3-0).
