Robinson Sees Positives

Share

Instead of harping on the Kings’ recent problems, Coach Larry Robinson is trying to get his players focused on their strong points heading into the playoffs.

“Everything has been so negative around the team because we haven’t been winning, so we tend to forget all of the positives,” Robinson said. “If the atmosphere is negative, then the players are going to be negative. . . . We’ve made our point about what we’re doing wrong and what we have to do better. We need a good positive attitude going into the playoffs.”

Left wing Luc Robitaille is expected to play tonight after sitting out 24 games because of a right groin/abdominal injury that required surgery on March 2. . . . Defenseman Rob Blake will sit out tonight’s game after having played in the previous 79 this season. Blake did not make the trip to Vancouver because Robinson wanted to give him and fellow defenseman Garry Galley some rest before the playoffs.
