Supermodel Tyra Banks’ book, “Tyra’s Beauty Inside & Out,” is in stores now.

Strutting Down CityWalk: Since I grew up in L.A., when I’m here it’s sort of like a retreat. I spend a lot of time in bed, but when I do venture out I like to go to CityWalk by myself. It’s like a mini-amusement park that’s free. Sometimes I’ll spend all day going to movies at the theater there.

A Model Diet: Going to Haagen-Dazs at the Beverly Center is a ritual for me. I get two scoops of Macadamia Brittle and one scoop of Coffee ice cream with whipped cream--definitely nothing less than three scoops. El Cholo is also wonderful. My family used to celebrate every occasion there.

A Free Breakfast: I’m not one of those L.A. trendy people who goes to Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf or Red for brunch. I would rather have breakfast at Du-Par’s in Farmer’s Market. I have one of their discount cards so after I eat breakfast there several times I get a free meal!

Clothestime: I rarely go to the malls. I do like to shop on Sunset at Plein Sud because they make clothes for really tall people.

Fan Club: I guess I am an L.A. girl in one way: I love going to Laker games. If I’m not at a game on weekend nights, I’m an out-to-dinner, go-to-the-movies type of girl. I also really like painting clay pots at Color Me Mine and driving around by myself, pumping music in the car.

Dining Al Fresco: I have had two romantic picnics on the grass in Griffith Park. I cooked lunch for my date--chicken wings, corn on the cob, potato salad and punch. Lunch was fun, but unfortunately nothing became of either date!
