Re “Rivals Add Spice to Judicial Race,” April 10: I was on a jury pool in Judge Alexander H. Williams III’s courtroom and found him to be of the highest standard, on a judicial level as well as a personal and human level. Of all the jury pools and panels I have been on, Judge Williams is the most dynamic by far, and I would not hesitate to put my fate in his judgment and compassion. Any disparaging remark against him by anyone would meet with my incredulity.

If the good judge found it appropriate to utter a “barnyard” epithet at a lawyer, I wholeheartedly concur with his august choice of words. If he found it appropriate to make a gesture in “questionable taste,” I again wholeheartedly agree.
