Share

California Youth Theatre, the 35-year-old, nonprofit performing arts organization, is presenting a free “Youth in Hollywood Workshop,” a 10-week program with an emphasis on motion pictures, for young people between the ages of 14 and 21, beginning Sunday at the Hollywood Entertainment Museum.

Under the direction of theater professional Corky Dominguez, participants will study films dealing with issues affecting youth, and will write, rehearse and develop an original script, which will be performed at the end of the 10-week period.

Those willing to commit to all sessions are invited.

The workshop is made possible in part by grants from the City of Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department, the L.A. County Arts Commission, the California Arts Council and Paramount Pictures, where CYT is based.
