Simpson Daughter Hospitalized, Arrested After Car Crash
Arnelle Simpson, O.J. Simpson’s oldest daughter, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving early Friday morning after she ran over a bus bench and a flower garden and then partially into an apartment building, police said.
Simpson, 29, was hospitalized with minor injuries at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Her car struck the apartment building at Rexford Drive and Olympic Boulevard about 1:48 a.m., said Lt. Al Munoz-Flores of the Beverly Hills Police Department. No one else was in the vehicle, and no one else was injured.
A spokeswoman at Cedars-Sinai said Simpson was in stable condition.
She is scheduled to appear in Beverly Hills Municipal Court on May 21, Munoz-Flores said.
A Los Angeles resident, Simpson testified in her father’s defense at the criminal and civil trials seeking to hold him responsible for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
Simpson is the daughter of Marguerite Thomas, O.J. Simpson’s first wife.
