Share

Hoping to teach residents how to prepare for disasters, the City Council next week is expected to approve a $4,000 program to begin a community emergency response program.

Officials said the program aims to prepare residents on how to protect themselves, their families and neighbors before and during emergencies such as earthquakes or floods. The six-week program also includes information about hazardous materials and care for the injured.

The council will vote on the issue Monday at 7 p.m. at 5275 Orange Ave. Information: (714) 229-6680.
