Ice Dogs Miss Chance to Advance

Former Long Beach player Russ Romaniuk scored Las Vegas’ winning goal with 27.2 seconds left to lead the Thunder to a 3-2 win over the Ice Dogs in the best-of-five Turner Cup playoff quarterfinal series.

The Thunder, which had not beaten Long Beach in the last 16 meetings, stayed alive, but the Ice Dogs still have a 2-1 lead with Game 4 tonight.
