Millar Injured in First At-Bat
In his first major-league at bat for the Florida Marlins, Kevin Millar fouled a pitch off his left wrist and fractured the hamate bone.
Millar, who attended Hart High in the ninth grade, was placed on the 15-day disabled list and underwent successful surgery on Wednesday.
After averaging more than 20 home runs and 90 runs batted in through four minor league seasons, Millar was called up on April 6.
He got his first start on April 20 at Arizona.
