Training Center to Hold Job Fair for Students

Prospective workers will get a chance to meet potential managers today when the Maxine Waters Employment Preparation Center hosts the Employee Meets Employer job fair for vocational students.

More than a dozen business and government agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, are expected to attend the event.

“As with most job fairs, the center’s ultimate objective in sponsoring such an activity is to introduce the vocational students to employers so as to bridge the gap between unemployment and employment,” said project director Mary Ramirez. “We want to inspire a unity between the school and business and industry.”

The job fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon at the school, 10925 S. Central Ave.
