ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

Kaynar Technologies Inc.: The Orange-based company, which makes specialty components and tooling systems, said net income for the first quarter rose 95% to a record $4.3 million, or 48 cents a share, from $2.2 million, or 32 cents a share, a year ago. Sales were up 41% to $45.4 million from $32.2 million.
