Ex-Teacher Pleads Guilty in Sex Case

A former high school teacher who admitted having sex with a 15-year-old student pleaded guilty to criminal sexual conduct and was sentenced to nearly seven years in prison. Under a plea agreement, Julie Feil, 32, will be eligible for parole after 4 1/2 years. In exchange, authorities dropped a lesser charge. Judge Thomas Lacy in Hastings, Minn., sentenced Feil to six years and nine months in prison and ordered Feil to register as a sex offender and submit her blood sample for DNA typing. Feil, who had taught for four years at Hastings High School, was arrested in February and accused of having sex on 20 occasions with the boy.
