Theft of Fertilizer Raises Bomb Fears
From Times Wire Reports
A farm-supply company was robbed of more than 25 tons of ammonium nitrate, the same chemical used in the Oklahoma City bombing, the FBI said. The amount stolen is roughly 10 times greater than that used in the April 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building that killed 168 people. The theft from a bulk storage bin was reported to Preston County, W.Va., sheriff’s officials. It was not known when it was taken.
