Vigilantes Build Lead, but Bend Rallies to Win

The Vigilantes failed to hold a four-run lead for the second consecutive night, this time eventually losing to host Bend, 12-7, in a Western League baseball game Friday.

The Vigilantes (6-9) led, 5-1, going into the bottom of the fifth but Bend (7-8) scored six times in the fifth and got three more runs in the sixth to take a 10-5 lead.

The Vigilantes led, 5-1, going into the bottom of the seventh at Reno Thursday.

Mark Charbonnet hit his 18th home run and Gordon Powell hit his seventh for Bend.

Kendrick Davis had three hits and Manny Gagliano and Kevin Tahan each drove in two runs for the Vigilantes.
