Times Names Kurtich as Senior V.P.

Mark H. Kurtich, vice president of operations for the Los Angeles Times, has been promoted to senior vice president of operations, the Times Mirror Co.-owned newspaper announced Monday. Kurtich, 46, is responsible for all production operations at The Times’ Olympic, San Fernando and Orange County facilities. Since joining the newspaper in 1997, he has supervised several initiatives to enhance the quality of its color production and helped implement expanded printing capability of Times Community News, a Times Mirror subsidiary that publishes daily and weekly community newspapers.
