Shake-Up at Sony Promotion Units?

Sony Music is expected to make changes this week at its Epic Records Group with the exit of Ron Sweeney as president of black music and a consolidation of staff in the promotion departments at Epic Records, 550 Music and the Work Group, sources said.

There is speculation that Rick Bisceglia, former president of Mariah Carey’s Crave label, will soon take a key management post at Epic Records Group and oversee promotion activities at the company’s three labels in the future.
