University Receives Grant of $3 Million for Events Center
Azusa Pacific University announced Thursday that it has received the largest single gift in the college’s history, a $3-million grant from the Henry L. Guenther Foundation toward a new events center.
The grant will help pay for the proposed $8-million facility that would seat about 3,500 for athletic events and 6,000 for concerts and lectures, college spokeswoman Maureen Riegert-Foley said.
Azusa Pacific had raised about $1 million for the facility, Riegert-Foley said.
