TEHACHAPI--Catch a cool mountain breeze at the 35th annual Tehachapi Mountain Festival next weekend, Aug. 15-16, when more than 70 artists and artisans display handmade clothing, paintings, wood toys, furniture and jewelry in Tehachapi City Park. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Free. Other events include a car show 3-10 p.m. Aug. 15 in the downtown parking mall on Green Street (free) and a rodeo 3-5 p.m. both days at the Rodeo Fairgrounds. Rodeo tickets $10 adults, $8 children. SEBASTOPOL--Everything from apple pie to apple dolls will be at the Gravenstein Apple Fair next weekend, Aug. 15-16. Other offerings include wine tastings, a beer garden, music, a children’s corner, a petting zoo and hayrides. $5, $4 for those 60 and older, $1 children 6-16, free under 6. LOS OLIVOS--Artists will race against the clock to complete a drawing, painting or sculpture in the 12th annual Quick Draw beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15. SOLVANG--A whirlwind of games, crafts, baked goods, auto exhibits and children’s activities can be found at Old Mission Santa Ines’ 27th annual Fiesta next weekend, Aug. 15-16.
