Man Sought in Rape at Woman’s Home
Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who raped a Thousand Oaks woman after entering her home earlier this week, authorities said Tuesday.
The woman, whose age was not released, was attacked about 3:30 a.m. Monday at her residence in the midtown area near Janss Road, said Det. Debbie Demmatia. The assailant was unknown to the victim, Demmatia said.
“Maybe this is a one-time thing; I’m hoping and praying that it is,” said Demmatia.
The victim sustained minor injuries from the attack and was taken to Ventura County Medical Center, where DNA evidence was collected, Demmatia said.
The suspect is described as Latino, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 10 and approximately 200 pounds, with a medium build.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue T-shirt with a logo on the back.
