Fritch Joins American

John Fritch has been named chief financial officer and chairman of the board of directors of American Custom Components Inc. in Santa Ana. In addition, the company said Mike Orton, executive vice president, has resigned for personal reasons.

Fritch was director of material at Hughes Data Systems, a unit of Hughes Aircraft Co. He has more than 20 years of management experience with RCA, Conner Peripherals, Amdahl, Seagate and Western Digital.

American Custom Components provides electronics parts and custom tooling for plastic molded parts and assemblies.
