Chamber of Commerce Hosts Community Web Site

The Chamber of Commerce has hopped online with a community Web site that officials say will benefit local businesses, nonprofit organizations and residents.

The site, at https://www.lahabrabiz.com, designed and run by Saturn Office & Computer Services, went live two weeks ago.

The site plans to cover everything happening in and around La Habra. Well, maybe not everything, but it is updated every other day and always expanding, Web master Elizabeth Brennecke said.

“We want it so people can just go online and see what’s going on in town and what the businesses have to offer,” said Julie Schweitzer, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce.

Businesses often pay as much as $1,000 for a Web site, Brennecke said, but some local businesses don’t need that much space.

Saturn will design and maintain a business Web page for $150 a year. Nonprofit organizations can have a Web page for free.
