Battling a foot injury, Troy Dumais of Ventura finished second behind Mark Ruiz in the one-meter springboard at the U.S. Championships in Atlanta.

“Sure, I would have liked to win, but it just didn’t work out,” Dumais said. “Mark was really on tonight and given what I was up against I feel pretty good about what I did.”

Justin Dumais, Troy’s older brother, was eliminated in the quarterfinals.

Campbell compared Jandreau to departing Northridge senior Chad Strickland, who finished third on the school career charts in kills and digs.
