Liberty Routs Mystics, 88-45
Kisha Ford scored 17 of her 19 points in the second half as the New York Liberty moved into a first-place tie in the WNBA’s Eastern Conference with an 88-45 victory over the Washington Mystics before 13,371 Thursday night at Madison Square Garden.
The Liberty (17-10) and the Cleveland Rockers are tied for the lead, a half-game ahead of Charlotte (17-11) with three games left.
The 43-point margin was New York’s largest in its two-year history. The loss was the worst of the season for the expansion Mystics (3-24).
