ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

MAI Systems Corp.: The Irvine information systems and services company, said it lost $2.5 million, or 24 cents a share, for the second quarter, compared with a net loss of $2.1 million, or 23 cents a share, for the 1997 second quarter. Revenue declined 23% to $14.1 million from $18.4 million. The first half net loss totaled $3.6 million, or 35 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $3.3 million, or 37 cents a share, for the first six months of 1997. Revenue was down 17% to $29.3 million from $35.2 million.
