Judge Curry Appointed to Appellate Court
Santa Monica Superior Court Judge Daniel A. Curry has been appointed associate justice for the 2nd District Court of Appeal.
Gov. Pete Wilson nominated Curry, who has served on the state court bench since 1992. Before that, Curry, 61, was a vice president and general counsel for the Times Mirror Co., which owns the Los Angeles Times.
Before working at Times Mirror, Curry worked for Technicolor Inc., Amfac Inc., and served as a captain in the U.S. Air Force.
Curry’s appointment to the $122,893-a-year post must be confirmed by the Commission on Judicial Appointments.
