Taking Some Bytes Didn’t Stop His Magic
I screwed up Jim’s computer once, trying to figure out how to file our stories from a Las Vegas prizefight.
Jim shook his head, sighed, and said he’d do what he could come filing time.
When the fight ended 45 minutes before deadline and everybody was scrambling and mostly failing to write something coherent about Mike Tyson biting Evander Holyfield’s ears, Jim wandered back to the press room, hunkered down amid the chaos, and outwrote the whole world that night.
Blew everybody away, bum computer and all.
I’d like my computer screwed up like that once in a while.
