Vigilantes Rally in 12th, Top Tri-City

The Vigilantes won their fourth consecutive game by scoring two runs in the top of the 12th, then held on to defeat the Tri-City Posse, 8-6, in a Western League game Tuesday in Pasco, Wash.

Bodie Shepherd hit a run-scoring single to break a 6-6 tie and the Vigilantes (15-15) added another run before reliever Josh Belovsky struck out two in the bottom of the 12th to earn his ninth save. Carlos Castillo pitched three innings of one-hit relief to earn the victory.

Mission Viejo trails first-place Chico (21-9) by six games in the Southern Division with 15 games remaining in the second half. Tri-City (13-17) is in third place in the Northern Division.
