Pomona Police are offering rewards of $5,000 each for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killers in three murder cases.

In one case, Louis Gutter, 32, was gunned down May 6 in the 100 block of East Olive Street as he walked home from a store with a friend, police said. A car with four men inside drove past the pair, made a U-turn and then those in the vehicle opened fire.

“As Gutter lay on the ground, the suspects exited their car and executed him by shooting him multiple times,” Pomona Det. Daniel Kono said. The car was described as a four-door, mid-1980s model Honda or Toyota, light blue or gray in color.

Police are also hoping to solve the March 28, 1997, murder of Billy Caldwell, 22, and his uncle, Clarence Banks, 35, as they sat in a car parked in the driveway of Banks’ mother’s house in South Pomona.

In the third case, youth minister Derrick Scott, 27, was shot to death June 15 while driving friends home near County Road and Towne Avenue. He was shot as he drove around two vehicles stopped next to each other in the middle of the road. Police described the vehicles as an older-model yellow or orange van, possibly a Chevrolet, with side windows, and a 1994 or 1995 turquoise Honda Accord.
