Party to Celebrate Opening of School
Community members are invited to attend the opening of the first new Thousand Oaks elementary school in more than 20 years.
Lang Ranch Elementary School will celebrate with an opening party Aug. 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will be a traditional ribbon-cutting, and parachutists will descend on the school grounds. The “Celebrate Education” party will also include a silent auction and food and craft booths.
Parents and new students will have a chance to tour the school and ask questions before classes begin Sept. 2.
