Nominations Sought for Outstanding Senior
Do you know an Angeleno, 55 or older, who has the vigor, activism and spirit to be White Memorial Hospital’s “Outstanding East Los Angeles Senior of the Year”?
Community members are asked to nominate a senior from anywhere in Los Angeles who they believe deserves recognition for his or her contributions to a large swath of the Eastside and beyond--from Montebello to Eagle Rock to Bell.
Each submission should describe the nominee, listing significant achievements.
The outstanding senior and the nominating club or individual will receive a special award from Privilege Plus--the hospital’s senior program--at an 8 a.m. breakfast ceremony Oct. 15. The Senior Health Fair will follow in the hospital gym.
The fair will include free health screenings, free lunch and entertainment. The hospital is at 1720 Cesar E. Chavez Ave.
