* ANNIVERSARY PLANS: It’s been 10 years since the city incorporated, and the City Council is planning a community celebration. Ideas for the event will be considered.

Garden Grove City Council

* MORE HOTELS: The council will hold a public hearing on three hotels proposed on the southwest corner of Harbor Boulevard and Chapman Avenue. The council also will consider extending an operating permit for Harbor Market on the southeast corner of the intersection.

Stanton City Council

* BINGO: City Council members will discuss whether to allow more groups to sponsor bingo games.

Nonprofit groups and chambers of commerce already are permitted to conduct bingo. Now, senior citizen clubs and mobile home park associations are asking for eligibility.

Council members also will consider raising their own salaries.

Villa Park City Council

* NEW HOUSING: The council will consider a request to build 16 houses more than 25 feet tall at Lemon Street and Mesa Drive. The proposed development on the 10-acre parcel includes four house plans.

One of the plans is less than 25 feet, and the other three are as tall as 31 1/2 feet. Since the developer, Heritage Communities of Orange, will have buyers choose their lots and floor plans, a maximum building height of 31 1/2 feet is requested for all lots. Views from surrounding homes will not be affected because of planned grading, according to a city report.

In other business, City Manager Fred Maley will give a report on a coyote food aversion experiment. The experiment is aimed at deterring coyotes from attacking pets.
