Irvine’s Cooper Cos. Inc. Reports 42% Net Income Gain

The Cooper Cos. Inc., an Irvine-based manufacturer and marketer of specialty health care products and services, reported a 42% gain in net income for the third fiscal quarter on a 39% increase in revenue.

Net income for the three months ended July 31 totaled $10.2 million, or 66 cents a share, up from $7.2 million, or 55 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue increased to $54.2 million from $38.9 million.

Nine-month net income rose 55% to $24.7 million, or $1.60 a share, from $15.9 million, or $1.28 a share, for the first three quarters of the previous fiscal year. Revenue was up 47% to $148.8 million from $101 million.
