Burke Homer Leads Vigilantes Victory

Left-hander John Homan allowed six hits over seven innings and Alan Burke hit a two-run home run for the Vigilantes in a 5-2 victory over the Pacific Suns in Western League game Wednesday at Oxnard College.

The Vigilantes (45-39), with their second consecutive victory, are a game ahead of Sonoma County in the second half of the season and making headway in the playoff race. Sonoma (46-38) lost to Chico, 6-4.

Rafael Ozuna hit his sixth home run for the Suns (26-57), his second in two nights.
