Tutors Needed for Volunteer Program

Share

Tutors are being sought for a volunteer-run program aimed at helping schoolchildren who are at risk for academic failure.

Homework House will be opening its doors Sept. 21 to help students who are working below grade level and who may be lacking academic guidance at home.

The program helps students improve their reading, language and math skills.

Homework sites will be at Placentia Presbyterian Church and the Gomez Center in the Atwood community. A third site is expected to open in October at the Boys and Girls Club of Placentia.
