WESTMINSTER
The city’s annual tree lighting ceremony Dec. 8 will feature an appearance by Santa Claus and Christmas carols from three community groups.
Performing at the ceremony will be Project SHUE (Sharing Health Understanding and Education), a program that includes senior citizens and at-risk youngsters, who will sing in Vietnamese, Spanish and English; the Warner Middle School Choraliers; and the Orange County Children’s Theater Junior Board.
The ceremony starts at 6:30 p.m., although Santa will be available at 6 p.m. and afterward. The ceremony will take place inside the Community Services Building, 8200 Westminster Blvd. The Community Services and Recreation Department asks people to bring canned goods for the needy.
