ANAHEIM

* South Walnut Street: Report of a forced residential burglary Nov. 26 at 3:46 a.m. in the 1400 block.

* Stonepine Lane: Report of a vehicle burglary Nov. 26 at 10:10 a.m. in the 3500 block.

* West Katella Avenue: Report of a narcotics violation Nov. 26 at 9:02 p.m. in the 100 block; person arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

BREA

* Brea Mall: A shopper reported at 1:07 p.m. Nov. 27 that he was not sure if he left his car door locked but that he had a cellular phone and $4,500 worth of jewelry stolen from the car.

BUENA PARK

* Lincoln Avenue: Police received a request for extra patrol in the 6700 block at 11:43 a.m. Nov. 25. A caller said there has been too much vandalism in the neighborhood recently.

* Ball Road: Four males ran out of a clothing store with merchandise and sped away in a blue and white Chevy Astro van at 4:53 p.m. Nov. 26 in the 6000 block.

COSTA MESA

* East 17th Street: Officers responded to a reported commercial burglary in the 400 block about 10 a.m. Saturday.

* Bristol Street: A caller reported a car theft about 10:10 p.m. Sunday in the 3300 block.

* Harbor Boulevard: Police investigated a report of someone drunk in public about 10:40 p.m. Sunday in the 2200 block.

CYPRESS

* Larwin Avenue: Grand theft was reported at 12:20 a.m. Nov. 25 in the 4800 block. Two sets of golf clubs, a watch and Christmas gifts--totaling $5,700--were stolen from an unlocked backyard shed.

* Holder Street: Someone smashed the window of a 1993 blue Ford Escort and stole a security gate opener in a burglary reported at 2:49 a.m. Nov. 25 in the 9000 block.

DANA POINT

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Santa Mariana Street: A man reportedly entered a home in the 18600 block on Nov. 25 at 11:57 p.m. by walking through an unlocked rear sliding door. The brother-in-law of the homeowner confronted the man and escorted him out of the home. Police later learned he was a mental patient from Metropolitan State Hospital in Norwalk on a weekend leave for Thanksgiving.

FULLERTON

* West Orangethorpe Avenue: A 1991 Honda was reported stolen at 7:54 a.m. Nov. 25 in the 400 block.

* West Fern Drive: A petty theft was reported at 10:16 a.m. Nov. 25 in the 1400 block. Three high-pressure sodium lights, valued at $1,500, were stolen.

GARDEN GROVE

* Rockinghorse Road: Report of a possible drive-by shooting Nov. 24 at 8:25 p.m. in the 13200 block. Police found seven spent shells but nothing had been hit by bullets.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Breeland Drive and Golden West Street: Police cited cars for parking illegally at the swap meet at 7:41 a.m. Sunday.

* Seabluff Drive: A resident reported that a power converter worth $100 was stolen out of the back of a Ford van in the 7300 block at 3:03 p.m. Sunday.

IRVINE

* Fortune Drive: A computer, gym bag and camera were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in an assigned carport prior to 2:35 p.m. Sunday.

* Grant: A known suspect damaged city landscaping prior to 2:36 p.m. Sunday.

* Sumac Avenue: A residence in the 14800 block was egged at 3:54 p.m. Sunday.

LAGUNA BEACH

* Park Street: A caller complained about a man passed out in a planter at Forest Avenue about 2 a.m. Sunday. Officers cited a 41-year-old Laguna Beach man with public intoxication.

* Hillcrest Drive: Police investigated a report of drivers in two Volkswagen buses joy riding near Cajon Street about 11:55 a.m. Sunday. They were gone when officers arrived.

* Cottonwood Lane: A citizen reported that a dead mouse was thrown at her door in the 5000 block at 11:54 a.m. Saturday.

* Valley View Avenue: A citizen reported his oven catching fire in the 7700 block at 2:22 p.m. Saturday.

LOS ALAMITOS

* Lexington Drive and Cerritos Avenue: A woman reported a case of “road rage” after a man followed her off the road and made hand gestures indicating he would shoot her.

MISSION VIEJO

* 22nd Street: A caller told police someone broke into his Toyota pickup about 1 p.m. Sunday while he was surfing near Ocean Front street. The burglar entered the cab through the unlocked rear window and took $60 in cash, a checkbook and a .40-caliber pistol.

ORANGE

* East Chapman Avenue: Police were called to a business at 10:41 p.m. Sunday for a report of vandalism and malicious mischief in the 3500 block.

* City Boulevard West: An auto was stolen from the shopping center at 9:07 p.m. Sunday.

PLACENTIA

* Fee Ana Street: Report of a residential burglary Nov. 26 at 8:39 a.m.; loss of vacuum valued at $75.

* South Kraemer Boulevard: Report of a neighbor dispute Nov. 28 at 9:06 a.m. over toys left in yard of complex.

* West Center Street: Report of a prowler Nov. 29 at 4:53 a.m.; man peeping through a window and arrested for indecent exposure.

* West 1st Street: A man was hit by a car as he tried to cross the street Nov. 30 at 9:59 p.m. in the 4000 block. Antonio Hernandez Valencia, 40, of Santa Ana was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he remains in critical condition.

SEAL BEACH

* 7th Street: Two vehicles parked in a carport were reported burglarized, with their windows smashed and doors left open, on Nov. 27 at 10:09 a.m.

STANTON

* Vandenberg Lane: Skateboarders were reportedly causing a ruckus near the shuffleboard courts in the back of a residential complex in the 17500 block at 11:57 a.m. Sunday.

* Beneta Way: Two male 9-year-olds were causing mischief as they rode a motorized skateboard among people in the 17500 block at 4:42 p.m. Sunday.

VILLA PARK
