Teacups of Good Cheer in Tustin

Share

Tea lovers will gather at the McCharles House Tearoom & Gardens in Tustin on Friday to celebrate the holidays. The Victorian home will be festively attired, St. Nicholas tea will be brewing, and gingerbread men will be dressed in white frosting.

The My Cup of Tea Shoppe will be brimming with gift ideas, from Grammy’s tea cakes to tea accessories.

Ribbon-bedecked tins of tea are wrapped in reproductions of Audrey Emsel Heredia’s oil painting “From Christmas Past,” which is an ode to her family’s ritual of taking tea. Heredia and her daughter Vivian own the McCharles House.

The tins ($10-$11.50) contain 4 ounces of tea, enough for 36 cups. The blends range from cinnamon and clove to chocolate and Ceylon.

Audrey Heredia will be signing a limited number of fine-art reproductions of her painting from 6 to 9 p.m. The $225 giclee prints are 20 by 20 inches.

There will also be sleigh rides, carolers and a visit from Santa.

The McCharles House is at 335 South C St., Tustin. (714) 731-4063; https://www.mcharleshouse.com
