* US Airways Group Inc. agreed to pay nearly $400,000 to 30 women in professional and management jobs whose pay was found to be less than that of male executives, the Labor Department said. The agreement followed a so-called glass-ceiling review of the company’s management structure by the department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. The company also agreed to adopt standard policies for setting initial salaries and giving raises and to train managers with pay decision authority to apply those policies consistently.

* Germany’s Deutsche Bank said it’s buying the Belgian unit of France’s Credit Lyonnais for $590 million, just days after announcing its $10-billion acquisition of Bankers Trust Corp., which would make it the world’s largest bank in terms of assets.
