City Council members on Tuesday unanimously elected Jan M. Flory as the city’s new mayor. Richard Jones will take her place as mayor pro tem. Flory, 54, was appointed to the City Council in October 1994 to fill an unexpired term after the recall election. She was elected to a four-year term in November 1994. In last month’s election, Flory garnered the most votes.
