ANAHEIM

* West Katella Avenue: A report of a vehicle theft Nov. 27 at 2:32 a.m. in the 1300 block.

* Sunshine Way: A report of a residential burglary Nov. 27 at 3:18 a.m. in the 1300 block.

* East Center Street: A report of a forced commercial burglary Nov. 27 at 6:28 a.m. in the 1900 block.

BREA

* Imperial Highway and Valencia Avenue: A 62-year-old Yorba Linda resident died following a traffic accident at 10:09 a.m. Nov. 27. Police said Michael Lesbirel tried to make a left turn from Imperial Highway onto Valencia Avenue but hit the curb and a fire hydrant. Police said Lesbirel had Valium in his system. He went into full cardiac and respiratory arrest at Placentia Linda Community Hospital.

* Imperial Highway: Just east of Berry Street, a driver hit the center divider, banged into the curb, damaged a road sign and drove away without reporting the incident, 6:47 a.m. Nov. 28. Police have no description of the car or driver.

BUENA PARK

* Buena Park Mall: Police issued citations to five alleged truants hanging out in the upper level of JC Penney, 1:03 p.m. Nov. 26.

* Equador Way: Police received a request for more patrol in the area after a thief broke into a car and stole the remote-control garage opener, 5:30 p.m. Nov. 24.

COSTA MESA

* Bristol Street: Officers checked a burglary report in the 3300 block about 5:20 p.m. Sunday.

* El Camino Drive: Police investigated an auto theft in the 1000 block about 10 a.m. Sunday.

* Darrell Street: Officers responded to a hit-and-run crash in the 800 block about 3 p.m. Sunday.

CYPRESS

* Katella Avenue: The use of stolen checks and identification was reported at 6:31 a.m. Nov. 25 in the 6800 block.

* Katella Avenue: Someone smashed the window of a business, causing $250 in damage, in vandalism reported at 2:44 a.m. Nov. 26 in the 6500 block. No entry was made.

* Watson Street: A toolbox and gym bag were reported stolen from a white Ford Ranger at 9:05 a.m. Nov. 26 in the 9100 block. Estimated loss was $300.

* Katella Avenue: Golf clubs and a brown golf bag worth $500 were stolen in a grand theft reported at 11:23 a.m. Nov. 26 in the 4900 block.

DANA POINT

* Breakers Isle: Report of a robbery alarm Nov. 27 at 10:13 a.m. in the 100 block.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Placer River Avenue: Two men tried to hold up a couple at gunpoint in their home on Nov. 29 at 6:30 a.m. They confronted a 60-year-old man and 58-year-old woman in their 10300 block home and yanked a telephone out of the wall. But the man escaped and called police from a neighbor’s house. Both assailants fled after firing two or three shots, which did not hit anyone. Nothing was missing.

FULLERTON

* East Chapman Avenue: Vandalism was reported at 2:39 p.m. Nov. 25 in the 2400 block.

* West Knepp Avenue: An auto theft was reported at 8:21 a.m. Nov. 26 in the 200 block.

* East Yorba Linda Boulevard: A petty theft was reported at 11:20 a.m. Nov. 26 in the 2600 block.

GARDEN GROVE

* Rockinghorse Road: Police received a report of a possible drive-by shooting Nov. 24 at 8:25 p.m. in the 13200 block. Authorities found seven spent shells, but nothing had been hit by bullets.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Callieburn Circle: Police cited youths in a silver Tercel for driving recklessly and throwing eggs out the window at 1:36 a.m. Sunday.

* Pipeline Lane: A theft of more than $100,000 worth of auto parts was reported at 1:07 p.m. Sunday in the 15000 block.

IRVINE

* Bennington: Nothing was reported missing after someone apparently entered a home through a ripped window screen and open window prior to 5:18 p.m. Sunday.

* Stanford: A resident whose 400 block home was burglarized reported credit cards and jewelry were missing at 2:27 a.m. Saturday.

* Mitchell: Someone broke a window and stole a computer before 12:27 p.m. Saturday from a business in the 17700 block.

LAGUNA BEACH

* Coast Highway: A caller complained Sunday about 1:30 p.m. about a dead raccoon that had been lying in a trailer park in the 30800 block for several days.

* Jasmine Street: Police investigated a report of an infant locked in a car with no adult around about 4:10 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block. Officers found the man responsible for the child and warned him.

LAGUNA HILLS

* Paseo De Valencia: A report of a robbery with an audible alarm Nov. 27 at 5:48 p.m. in the 24000 block.

LAGUNA NIGUEL

* Camino Capistrano: A report of a burglary with an audible alarm Nov. 28 at 8:29 a.m. in the 27000 block.

LAKE FOREST

* Portola Parkway: A report of a robbery with an audible alarm Nov. 27 at 4:54 p.m. in the 26000 block.

LA HABRA

* West Mountain View Avenue: Vandalism was reported 10:08 p.m. Nov. 26 in the 200 block.

* North Macy Street: A residential burglary was reported at 12:25 p.m. Nov. 27 in the 900 block.

LA PALMA

* Orangethorpe Avenue/Valley View Avenue: A person was reported slumped on a bus bench at 3:12 p.m. Friday. Police found it was just a local transient resting while waiting for a bus.

LOS ALAMITOS

* Myra Avenue: A Casio computer and tools were stolen from an auto parked in a driveway at 6:57 a.m. Monday.

MISSION VIEJO

* Chrisanta Drive: A report of reckless driving Nov. 27 at 11:53 a.m. at La Paz Road.

* Persimmon: A report of a robbery with an audible alarm Nov. 26 at 10:12 a.m. in the 27000 block.

NEWPORT BEACH

* Campus Drive: A burglar smashed the window of a business in the 3800 block and took autographed photos of sports stars worth a total of $7,858. The caller found the pictures were missing about 11:30 a.m. Sunday, including a photo collage signed by baseball greats Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle and Ted Williams worth $3,500, and a picture signed by hockey star Wayne Gretzky worth $1,200.

ORANGE

* East Chapman Avenue: More than $400 worth of goods were stolen from an auto in the 4,000 block at 1:28 p.m. Sunday.

* North Tustin Street: Police responded to a forced-entry burglary in the 300 block at 11:38 a.m. Sunday.

PLACENTIA

* Bradford Avenue: A report of a robbery Nov. 28 at 11:44 a.m.; loss of a bicycle and two male juveniles arrested.

* Avenida Pescador: Report of a fireworks violation Nov. 27 at 9:53 a.m. on Connemara Drive.

SANTA ANA

* West 1st Street: A man died Wednesday after he was hit by a car the day before in the 4000 block. Antonio Hernandez Valencia, 40, of Santa Ana tried crossing the street at midblock when he was hit by a westbound car, police said. He died from massive head trauma at 3 a.m. Wednesday at UCI Medical Center.

SEAL BEACH

* Warner Avenue/Pacific Coast Highway: A woman reportedly stole $6 from a tip tray at a sandwich shop Nov. 28 at 2:16 p.m.

* Beach Boulevard: A report of burglary with audible alarm in the 12000 block Dec. 1 at 4:01 a.m.

* Cerritos Avenue: A burglary was reported Dec. 1 at 8:14 a.m. in the 8000 block.

* Champion Way: A 1989 Honda was reported stolen in the 2900 block at 5:41 p.m. Sunday.

* Red Hill Avenue: Three people allegedly harassed customers at a grocery store in the 14500 block at 6:32 p.m. Sunday.

* Newport Avenue: A woman reportedly tried to pass a bad check at a grocery store in the 13200 block at 1:58 a.m. Sunday.

* Pamela Place and Serrano Avenue: A report of a disturbance Nov. 26 at 10:48 a.m.

* Orangegrove Circle: A report of a disturbance Nov. 27 at 11:07 a.m. in the 10000 block.

WESTMINSTER

* Goldenwest Street: Three men were reported throwing bottles at a security guard in the 14400 block Nov. 29 at 8:13 p.m.

YORBA LINDA

* Calgary Avenue: A resident reported losing an AirTouch cellular phone 1:20 p.m. Nov. 25.

* La Palma Avenue: A driver with a suspended license received a citation and had the car impounded 12:12 p.m. Nov. 26.
