LOS ALAMITOS
Young people are encouraged to participate in the Christmas gift drive sponsored by We Care of Los Alamitos. Group officials said that collecting and distributing the gifts helps give youths the rewards that come from reaching out to others in the community.
The nonprofit group has joined forces with the Toys for Tots campaign and will distribute gifts collected by both groups. We Care will deliver gifts, clothing and supermarket certificates to families living within the Los Alamitos Unified School District and the Cypress area. Distribution day is set for Dec. 19.
