Mideast Peace Process Is Topic of Breakfast Talk

Israel’s deputy consul general will tackle the weighty issues facing the Middle East peace process in a speech at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Braemar Country Club.

Uriel Palti, who once served as a coordinator of peace talks with Jordan, and later became the chief information officer for Israel’s consulate general in New York, will discuss the recently signed Wye Memorandum at the American Jewish Committee-sponsored talk.

“In light of the latest developments with the Wye Memorandum, and the importance of the continuing peace process, we thought it would be worthwhile for someone with Mr. Palti’s expertise to provide his insights into the future of the peace process,” American Jewish Committee spokesman Jason Katz said.
