Woman Charged in Death of Daughter
From Times Wire Reports
A 20-year-old woman who told police a stranger snatched her child out of her arms in a crowded subway was charged with killing the 20-month-old girl. Hours after hearing Maria Victoria Santiago’s story, police found the toddler floating just off the shore of the borough of Brooklyn, her feet poking out of a black plastic bag, dead of trauma to the head. Santiago was charged with second-degree murder. Her boyfriend, Jorge Rivera, 19, was charged with tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution.
